BUSI GIOVANNI S.r.l. was established in 1958 by Giovanni Busi.

The Company worked for a few years making the renovation and re-building service on existing machines also retrofitting them with its own patented device (Brebus). In 1967 BUSI GIOVANNI S.r.l. produced its first single cylinder sock knitting machine with rib needle in the dial. From that moment, the production of the Company has been almost totally devoted to true rib machines. This allows us to claim having the widest experience in the market when speaking of this type of machine.The Company has followed the electronic technology from its beginning to now.

The first machine with an electronic patterning device was realized in 1986 and, since 1990, the production of full electronic single cylinder machines has begun.The production of the Company is at present spread into several different models available in many diameters and gauges and this has permitted to penetrate the markets of nearly the whole world where BUSI GIOVANNI S.r.l. is known as one of the highest quality producers of single cylinder sock knitting machines.

IDEA SERIES ( 312, 312 Terry, 334, 334 Terry, 400, 500 ) The 334 IDEA is a high production single cylinder sock machine with latch needles in the dial to enable it to produce true rib socks for men and children. As all the machines of the BUSI's range it is provided with full electronic control. The machine has two knitting feeds which can be used to knit plain stitch or rib fabric. The needle selection is made by 8 electromechanical actuators that enable the machine to knit the following fabrics: - embroidery patterns in 6 colours plus the ground - floated yarn mesh patterns in one or two feeds - two colour jacquard patterns on a flat knit base The dial needles allow the machine to knit the following ribs: 1x1, 3x1, 5x1, etc., it is moreover possible to produce socks with double welt using the dial needles
Lin Toe Device BUSI GIOVANNI S.R.L. has acquainted the license for the use of the LIN-TOE® device on his machines.The device can be installed on the models of the IDEA range, with up-to 200 Needles . The LIN-TOE®device automatically unloads the stitches of the sock from the needles of the machine and transfers them onto a looping unit that makes the seaming of the sock stitch by stitch outside the machine. The linking is made on the stitch loops and not on the inter-stitch connections. The device can also be retrofitted on the machines of the IDEA range so called “Ready”, that means prepared from the factory for this installation.This device makes the production cycle of the socks a lot simpler, thus allowing savings that are bigger than the mere cost of hand linking.
